- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on UPS fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for the fleet.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of any hazardous materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any vehicle issues or repairs needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and new technologies in automotive repair.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely deliveries through well-maintained vehicles.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Level Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For An Automotive Technician Position At Ups.
Automotive Technical Training: Candidates Must Have Completed Some Form Of Automotive Technical Training, Such As A Certificate Or Associate's Degree Program, To Qualify For This Job.
Ase Certification: Ups Prefers Candidates With Automotive Service Excellence (Ase) Certification In Areas Such As Brakes, Electrical Systems, Or Engine Performance.
Experience With Diagnostics Tools: Automotive Technicians At Ups Must Have Experience Working With Computerized Diagnostic Tools And Software To Troubleshoot And Repair Vehicles.
Physical Ability: This Job Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift Heavy Objects, Work In Tight Spaces, And Stand For Long Periods Of Time. Candidates Must Be Able To Meet These Physical Demands To Be Considered For The Position.
