  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  3. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels for automotive parts and supplies.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.
  6. Communicate with drivers to gather information on any vehicle issues or concerns.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on vehicles.
  8. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in automotive technology.
  9. Assist in training and mentoring new technicians.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Comply with company policies and procedures.
  12. Communicate effectively with management and other team members.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged To Be Considered For The Automotive Technician Position At Ups.

  • Technical Or Vocational Training: A Certificate Or Degree From A Technical Or Vocational School In Automotive Technology Or A Related Field Is Preferred. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills In Automotive Repair And Maintenance.

  • Ase Certification: Candidates Should Have At Least One Automotive Service Excellence (Ase) Certification In A Relevant Area Such As Engine Repair, Brakes, Or Electrical Systems. This Certification Shows A Higher Level Of Expertise And Competence In The Automotive Industry.

  • Experience In Automotive Repair: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Automotive Repair And Maintenance. This Can Include Experience At A Dealership, Independent Shop, Or Other Related Experience.

  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude: The Automotive Technician Position At Ups Requires A Strong Mechanical Aptitude And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Complex Automotive Issues. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Automotive Systems And Be Able To Work With Various Tools And Equipment.
