As an Automotive Technician at UPS, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles, from light duty trucks to heavy duty tractor trailers. Your main responsibility will be performing routine maintenance and repairs to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. In order to be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair and possess a valid driver's license. A high school diploma or equivalent is also required. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles in the UPS fleet, including light duty trucks and heavy duty tractor trailers.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  5. Continuously improve your knowledge and skills through training and staying up-to-date on industry advancements.
  6. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to relay information on repairs, parts needed, and any potential issues.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures while delivering quality work and meeting deadlines.
  9. Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with vehicles and equipment.
  10. Ensure all work is completed with accuracy and attention to detail to maintain the highest level of quality.
  11. Operate and maintain tools and equipment properly, reporting any malfunctions or need for repairs.
  12. Follow all traffic and safety regulations while driving company vehicles.
  13. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the company to customers and the public.
  14. Keep up-to-date on industry trends and advancements to make recommendations for improving the fleet's performance and efficiency.
  15. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
