High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged In Order To Be Considered For The Automotive Technician Position At Ups.
Technical Training Or Certification: A Formal Training Program In Automotive Technology Or Certification From A Recognized Institution Is Preferred For This Role. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation Of Technical Knowledge And Skills.
Experience In Automotive Repair: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Automotive Repair, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Experience Should Include Diagnosing And Repairing Various Vehicle Systems, Such As Brakes, Engines, And Electrical Systems.
Knowledge Of Diagnostic Tools And Equipment: Automotive Technicians At Ups Are Expected To Have A Strong Understanding Of Diagnostic Tools And Equipment, Such As Scanners, Multimeters, And Other Specialized Tools Used In Vehicle Repair. Experience With Computer Diagnostics Is Also Preferred.
Strong Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial For This Role, As Automotive Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Diagnosing And Repairing Vehicles.
