  1. Perform regular vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  2. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans.
  3. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify complex issues.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on company vehicles.
  5. Communicate with management regarding vehicle maintenance schedules and any potential issues.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures when working on vehicles.
  7. Keep work area clean and organized to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  8. Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new technology in automotive repair.
  10. Assist in training and mentoring other technicians as needed.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure vehicles are ready and available for daily operations.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged In Order To Be Considered For The Automotive Technician Position At Ups.

  • Technical Training Or Certification: A Formal Training Program In Automotive Technology Or Certification From A Recognized Institution Is Preferred For This Role. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation Of Technical Knowledge And Skills.

  • Experience In Automotive Repair: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Automotive Repair, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Experience Should Include Diagnosing And Repairing Various Vehicle Systems, Such As Brakes, Engines, And Electrical Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Diagnostic Tools And Equipment: Automotive Technicians At Ups Are Expected To Have A Strong Understanding Of Diagnostic Tools And Equipment, Such As Scanners, Multimeters, And Other Specialized Tools Used In Vehicle Repair. Experience With Computer Diagnostics Is Also Preferred.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial For This Role, As Automotive Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Diagnosing And Repairing Vehicles. A High Level Of Precision And Accuracy Is Necessary To Ensure The Safety And Reliability Of Ups's Vehicle Fleet.
