  1. Manage patient accounts and ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
  2. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all patient account information.
  3. Utilize strong customer service skills to interact with patients and resolve any billing or account inquiries.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation for billing purposes.
  5. Stay up-to-date on all medical billing and coding regulations and guidelines.
  6. Utilize electronic medical records systems to accurately document and track patient accounts.
  7. Work closely with insurance companies to verify coverage and follow up on any denied claims.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and insurance companies to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the efficiency and accuracy of the billing process.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve billing processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  12. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth and timely processing of payments.
  13. Maintain organized and accurate records of all patient accounts and billing activities.
  14. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and billing.
  15. Demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations related to billing and collections.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Billing And Coding, Preferably In A Family Medicine Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Insurance Billing And Reimbursement Processes, Including Medicare And Medicaid.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Providers, And Insurance Companies.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Billing Software.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Maintain Accurate And Confidential Patient Records.
