
Hourly Pooled-Football Performance Nutrition Intern

In this role, you will work closely with our football team to support their nutrition needs and contribute to their overall success. - Conduct nutrition assessments and create individualized nutrition plans for football student-athletes.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to develop specific nutrition strategies for optimal performance.
- Educate football student-athletes on proper nutrition and hydration techniques.
- Monitor and track student-athletes' dietary intake and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with pre- and post-workout nutrition plans and snacks for team practices and games.
- Conduct research on current nutrition trends and evidence-based practices to enhance student-athletes' performance.
- Work with the sports medicine staff to address any nutrition-related injuries or concerns.
- Communicate with student-athletes, coaches, and other support staff to ensure proper nutrition protocols are being followed.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on student-athletes' nutrition progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of nutrition services provided to football student-athletes.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation for team travel.
- Stay up-to-date on NCAA rules and regulations related to nutrition for student-athletes.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in sports performance nutrition.
- Collaborate with other members of the performance team to support the overall well-being and success of student-athletes.
- Embody the values and mission of the University of Wyoming Athletics Department.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Exercise Science, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Sports Nutrition Principles And Practices, Specifically Related To Football Performance.
Experience Working With Athletes, Preferably In A Collegiate Setting.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Accommodate Team Schedules.
