
Employee Relations Specialist - Human Resources

- Develop and implement employee relations strategies and initiatives to promote a positive and productive work culture.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers, employees, and HR staff.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
- Advise and train managers and supervisors on effective employee management techniques, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Stay up-to-date on HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and maintain employee relations programs, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor employee engagement and satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations to leadership as needed.
- Facilitate communication and conflict resolution between employees and management to foster positive working relationships.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of employee relations cases and provide timely and thorough reports to HR leadership.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new employees, ensuring alignment with the organization's culture and values.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Act as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, to ensure consistency and accuracy in employee relations practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve employee relations processes and procedures to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Represent the HR department and the University in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Employee Relations, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Handle Difficult And Sensitive Employee Relations Issues.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures Related To Employee Relations And Conflict Resolution.
