As a Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety on our campus.   1. Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe and secure campus environment.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of safety programs.
  3. Serve as a leader and resource for all safety-related matters on campus.
  4. Conduct regular safety assessments and identify potential risks or hazards on campus.
  5. Create and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  6. Organize and conduct safety training for students, faculty, and staff.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for any safety concerns or incidents on campus.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current safety regulations and best practices.
  9. Manage and maintain safety equipment and supplies.
  10. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Coordinate and participate in emergency drills and exercises.
  12. Manage the budget and resources allocated for safety programs.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
  14. Communicate and promote safety messages and initiatives to the campus community through various channels.
  15. Serve as a liaison between the university and external safety organizations and agencies.
  16. Stay informed on current safety issues and trends within higher education.
  17. Represent the university at safety conferences and events.
  18. Supervise and mentor safety program staff, if applicable.
  19. Handle any other duties or responsibilities related to promoting a safe and secure campus environment, as assigned by the university.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Program Coordination, Preferably In A Public Safety Or Emergency Management Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Public Safety And Emergency Management, Such As The Clery Act And Fema Guidelines.

  • Experience With Program Evaluation And Data Analysis, As Well As The Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic Plans For Improving Public Safety Initiatives.
