Job Description

  1. Administer and oversee all aspects of financial aid and scholarship programs, including application processes, awarding and disbursement of funds, and counseling students on financial aid options.
  2. Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies related to financial aid and scholarships, and ensure compliance with all requirements.
  3. Evaluate and process financial aid applications, including reviewing student eligibility, verifying information, and calculating aid packages.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for increasing student enrollment and retention through financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
  5. Serve as a resource for students and families, providing guidance and support in navigating the financial aid process and understanding available options.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of financial aid and scholarship awards, expenditures, and student information.
  7. Monitor and reconcile financial aid accounts, ensuring proper allocation and use of funds.
  8. Generate reports and analyze data to assess the effectiveness and impact of financial aid and scholarship programs.
  9. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in financial aid and scholarships, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation within the department.
  10. Represent the university at financial aid events and conferences, and serve as a liaison with external organizations and agencies related to financial aid and scholarships.
  11. Train and supervise staff members and student workers in financial aid processes and procedures.
  12. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives related to financial aid and scholarships.
  13. Continuously seek ways to enhance and improve the student experience through financial aid and scholarship services.
  14. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their financial background, and promote diversity and equity in the distribution of financial aid and scholarship resources.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Finance, Accounting, Or Business Administration.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Financial Aid And Scholarship Administration, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Financial Aid Regulations, Policies, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With Diverse Populations Of Students, Families, And University Staff.

  • Proficiency In Financial Aid Software Systems And Microsoft Office Applications.
