- Mentor and advise graduate students in their research and career development in STEM education.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the STEM Education Cluster and other departments to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work, program development, and outreach initiatives.
- Stay current with trends and developments in STEM education and incorporate them into teaching and research.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and organizations to enhance STEM education opportunities for students.
- Participate in professional development activities to continually improve teaching and research skills.
- Engage in grant writing and secure external funding to support research projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the university and the STEM Education Cluster through active involvement in strategic planning and initiatives.
A Phd In A Stem-Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In A Relevant Stem Discipline Is Essential For An Associate Professor In The Stem Education Cluster, As They Will Be Expected To Teach And Conduct Research In This Area.
Previous Teaching Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Teaching Excellence In A University Setting, With A Focus On Stem Education. This Could Include Experience In Course Development, Curriculum Design, And Teaching At Both The Undergraduate And Graduate Level.
Research Experience And Publication Record: As An Associate Professor, The Candidate Should Have A Record Of Conducting High-Quality Research In The Field Of Stem Education And Should Have A Strong Publication Record In Reputable Journals.
