- Plan and implement a comprehensive curriculum that reflects current industry trends and technology.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students in their creative projects and professional development.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work in the field of film and media.
- Serve on academic committees and participate in departmental and university events and activities.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve and innovate the film and media program.
- Stay updated on industry developments and incorporate them into curriculum and teaching methods.
- Create and maintain professional relationships with industry professionals and organizations.
- Advise and assist students in their career pursuits, including internships and job placements.
- Actively engage in recruitment efforts to attract talented and diverse students to the program.
- Participate in program assessment and accreditation processes.
- Maintain office hours and be available for student consultations and support.
- Represent the university and the film and media program at conferences and events.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures, including grading and attendance requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and experiences.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Professional Experience In The Film Or Media Industry, With A Strong Track Record Of Success In The Field.
A Terminal Degree (Such As An Mfa Or Phd) In Film, Media Studies, Or A Related Field From A Reputable Institution.
Demonstrated Teaching Experience At The University Level, With A Proven Ability To Engage And Inspire Students In The Classroom.
A Portfolio Of Published Works, Creative Projects, And/Or Research That Showcases Expertise And Contributions To The Film And Media Industry.
Strong Networking And Collaboration Skills, With A Proven Ability To Establish Partnerships And Connections Within The Film And Media Community Both Locally And Nationally.
