  1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry within the College of Sciences.
  2. Conduct research in the field of chemistry and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals.
  3. Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in their research projects.
  4. Participate in departmental and university committee work.
  5. Actively engage in the development and implementation of new teaching methods and technologies.
  6. Provide academic advising and guidance to students.
  7. Maintain an active presence in the academic community through attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary research and teaching.
  9. Assist in the recruitment and retention of students.
  10. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the Department of Chemistry and the University of Texas, San Antonio.
  11. Participate in community outreach programs to promote the importance of chemistry and its applications.
  12. Engage in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching and research skills.
  13. Adhere to university policies and procedures in all aspects of academic responsibilities.
  14. Contribute to the diversity and inclusion efforts of the university.
  15. Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department chair or university administration.
