  1. Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the protection of sensitive data and systems.
  2. Monitor network activity and identify potential security threats, taking appropriate action to mitigate and prevent any potential breaches.
  3. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to the network infrastructure.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network solutions that meet the needs of various departments and users.
  6. Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, conducting thorough investigations and implementing necessary remediation measures.
  7. Train and educate users on best practices for network security, as well as how to identify and report potential security threats.
  8. Maintain and update network security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  9. Troubleshoot network security issues and provide technical support to resolve any problems or concerns.
  10. Communicate with vendors and external partners to ensure the security of any connected systems or networks.
  11. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the overall reliability and performance of the network infrastructure.
  12. Participate in on-call rotation and be available for after-hours support in case of emergency situations.
  13. Adhere to all university policies and procedures, as well as industry and regulatory standards, related to network security.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve network security processes and procedures to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field

  • 3-5 Years Of Experience In Network And Security Administration

  • Certification In Network And Security Technologies Such As Ccna, Security+, Cissp

  • Knowledge Of Network Protocols, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems

  • Experience With Network Monitoring And Troubleshooting Tools, Such As Wireshark And Nagios
