As the CAO, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the administrative operations of the university.   1. Oversee and manage all administrative operations of the University of Texas, Austin.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to improve administrative processes and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment of administrative goals with the overall mission and vision of the university.
  4. Create and manage budgets and financial plans for administrative departments, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources.
  5. Serve as a liaison between the university administration and faculty/staff, fostering open communication and a positive work culture.
  6. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to promote compliance with university regulations and standards.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the performance of administrative departments and implement necessary changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Lead and support the recruitment, training, and development of administrative staff.
  9. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in higher education administration and implement relevant strategies at the university.
  10. Represent the university at external events and meetings, building and maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders.
  11. Work closely with the university president and other senior leaders to provide updates and recommendations on administrative operations.
  12. Uphold and promote the university's values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity in all administrative operations.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Senior-Level Administrative Experience In A Complex Organization, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • A Strong Understanding Of University Policies And Procedures, As Well As State And Federal Regulations Related To Higher Education Administration.

  • Excellent Strategic Planning And Financial Management Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large Budgets And Resources.

  • Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, Students, And Community Members.

  • A Graduate Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Or Public Policy, Is Preferred. Demonstrated Leadership Experience And A Commitment To Diversity And Inclusivity Are Also Highly Valued Qualifications.
