
Associate Academic Advisor
Provide information to students regarding degree requirements, academic policies, and institutional rules and regulations. Serve as a proxy to the dean of the college, and subsequently educate students about college policies, and deliver dean’s decisions verbally and in writing via secure academic note (SAN). Maintain accuracy of student records by updating majors and minors, completing Petitions for Degree Modifications and override requests, and updating course lists. May assist in management of course enrollment, scholarships, study abroad evaluations, and student events. Create reports upon request; attend monthly College Advisor Meetings; participate in office meetings and decision-making; cooperate with other departmental and campus offices.
Four years of experience working with college students in an academic capacity
Two years of experience in counseling, group work, assessment and administration of student academic programs.
Experience in student affairs or advising at The University of Texas at Austin, or comparable academic advising experience at another institution
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
