- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for students seeking mental health services.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment for students in distress.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and campus resources to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Conduct initial assessments and create treatment plans for new clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic records of client sessions and progress.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of psychology to inform treatment methods.
- Participate in outreach and educational programs to promote mental health and wellness on campus.
- Supervise and mentor trainees and interns in the counseling center.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Advocate for the mental health needs of students and promote a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with university departments and community resources to develop and implement mental health initiatives.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and serve as a role model for students and colleagues.
- Comply with all university policies and procedures related to counseling services.
- Continuously evaluate and improve counseling services to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
A Doctoral Degree (Phd Or Psyd) In Psychology From An Accredited University.
Current Licensure As A Psychologist In The State Of California.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience Providing Counseling And Therapy Services To Individuals And Groups.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Ethical Principles And Laws Related To Mental Health Treatment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations.
