
Public Safety Officer

- Patrol campus grounds and buildings to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Respond to emergency situations, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
- Monitor and enforce campus policies and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, including providing first aid and directing individuals to appropriate resources.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of all incidents and activities on campus.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular safety and security checks of campus facilities and report any hazards or concerns.
- Serve as a visible and approachable presence on campus, actively engaging with members of the community and addressing any security concerns.
- Assist with traffic control and parking enforcement to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles on campus.
- Attend and participate in training programs and meetings to stay updated on safety and security protocols and procedures.
- Act as a role model for students, promoting responsible and safe behavior.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors, providing timely and accurate information regarding any incidents or concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve safety and security procedures and protocols.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors to support the overall safety and security of the campus community.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement, Emergency Response, Or Public Safety.
Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record.
Cpr And First Aid Certification.
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
