- Schedule surgical procedures in a timely and efficient manner, while considering the availability of surgeons, operating rooms, and other necessary resources.
- Communicate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and confirm surgical appointments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgical schedules, including any changes or cancellations.
- Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure all necessary pre-operative preparations are completed.
- Monitor and manage the flow of surgical cases, proactively identifying and resolving any potential issues or conflicts.
- Utilize electronic scheduling systems and other relevant software to manage surgical schedules and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to their surgical appointments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to surgical scheduling and patient care.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new surgical schedulers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Continuously assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current scheduling processes to optimize patient care and resource utilization.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Surgical Scheduling, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Proficient In Medical Terminology And Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Equipment, And Supplies.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Physicians, Staff, And Patients.
