- Manage student accounts: The Student Account Representative IV will be responsible for managing all aspects of student accounts, including but not limited to billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
- Provide excellent customer service: This role requires providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders. This includes responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on financial matters.
- Process financial transactions: The Student Account Representative IV will be responsible for processing a high volume of financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to refunds, payments, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records: It is the responsibility of the Student Account Representative IV to ensure that all student account records are accurate and up to date. This includes regularly reviewing and reconciling accounts and making necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other departments: This role requires working closely with other departments within the university, such as financial aid and student services, to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Stay updated on policies and procedures: The Student Account Representative IV must stay informed of all university policies and procedures related to student accounts and financial transactions and ensure compliance with them.
- Assist with billing and collections: In some cases, the Student Account Representative IV may be required to assist with billing and collections, including sending reminder notices and following up on past due accounts.
- Train and mentor junior staff: The Student Account Representative IV may be responsible for training and mentoring junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their job responsibilities effectively.
- Contribute to process improvement: The Student Account Representative IV is expected to identify areas for process improvement within the student accounts department and make recommendations for streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality: As this role involves handling sensitive financial information, it is essential for the Student Account Representative IV to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the university's privacy policies and procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Marketing, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Customer Service Or Sales, Preferably In A University Setting.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Data Management Systems.
Knowledge Of University Policies And Procedures Related To Student Accounts And Financial Aid.
