Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.
Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure: The Candidate Must Have A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of New York. This Ensures That They Have Met The State's Requirements For Practicing As A Nurse.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Pals, Which Demonstrates Their Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Managing Pediatric Emergencies.
Minimum 2 Years Of Pediatric Critical Care Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Picu) Or Pediatric Emergency Department (Ped). This Experience Helps Them To Effectively Manage And Care For Critically Ill Or Injured Pediatric Patients During Transport.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Nrp, Which Demonstrates Their Competency In Providing Care To Newborns During Transport. This Is Especially Important As Many Pediatric Transports Involve Neonates And Infants.
