- Provide expert care to patients at the University of Rochester Pain Treatment Center.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic and dedicated team to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic pain conditions in patients.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of pain management.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to healthcare.
- Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Advanced Education And Training: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies, With A Specialization In Pain Management. They Should Also Hold A Valid License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of New York.
Extensive Experience In Pain Management: The Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Pain Treatment Center Or A Similar Setting. They Should Be Knowledgeable In Various Pain Management Techniques And Have Experience In Managing Complex Pain Conditions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build A Rapport With Patients And Provide Compassionate Care.
Proficiency In Pain Assessment And Treatment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pain Assessment Tools And Be Able To Develop Individualized Treatment Plans For Patients. They Should Also Be Knowledgeable In Prescribing And Administering Medications For Pain Management.
Ability To Work In A Multidisciplinary Team: The Candidate Should Be Able To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Therapists, To Provide Comprehensive Pain Management Care To Patients. They Should Also Have The Ability To Work Independently And Make Clinical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
