  1. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, faculty, and staff in order to address mental health concerns and promote overall wellness.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each client.
  3. Create and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the mental health team to provide comprehensive care and support for clients.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in mental health counseling to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  7. Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in the field of mental health counseling.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  10. Serve as an advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization within the university community.
  11. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  12. Collaborate with community resources and make appropriate referrals for clients as needed.
  13. Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to facilitate healing and growth.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  15. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to mental health services.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Clinical Mental Health Counseling Or Related Field, With A Focus On Evidence-Based Therapies And Treatment Modalities.

  • Licensure As A Mental Health Counselor (Lmhc) Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) In The State Of New York.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Individual And Group Therapy For Diverse Populations, Preferably In A University Or College Counseling Center Setting.

  • Proven Ability To Assess And Diagnose Mental Health Disorders, Develop Treatment Plans, And Provide Crisis Intervention As Needed.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team And Engage With Students, Faculty, And Staff In A Culturally Sensitive Manner.
