- Provide exceptional patient care by implementing evidence-based nursing practices and utilizing critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and implement care for patients undergoing Mohs surgery procedures.
- Utilize strong knowledge and experience in dermatology and surgical nursing to assist in the treatment and management of various dermatologic conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care is provided to patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor their effectiveness.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and potential complications of Mohs surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting procedures, medications, and patient progress.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the surgical suite and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Act as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or questions a patient may have throughout their treatment process.
- Continuously participate in professional development and education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in dermatologic and surgical nursing.
Active Rn License In The State Of New York: The Candidate Must Have A Current And Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of New York. This Ensures That They Are Familiar With State-Specific Regulations And Can Practice Within The Legal Boundaries.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Or Dermatology Setting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Surgical Or Dermatology Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Proficiency In Handling Surgical Procedures And Familiarity With Dermatological Conditions.
Certification In Mohs Surgery Or Dermatology Nursing: A Certification In Mohs Surgery Or Dermatology Nursing Is Highly Desirable For This Role. It Shows That The Candidate Has Received Specialized Training In This Field And Is Well-Equipped To Assist In Mohs Surgery Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Level Ii Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Assisting The Physician In Patient Care And Managing The Patient Flow In The Clinic. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills Are Essential To Ensure Smooth Operations.
