Job Description

The University of Rochester is seeking an Ambulatory Tech 1 to join our team and provide exceptional support to our ambulatory care clinics. As an Ambulatory Tech 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics and delivering top-quality care to our patients. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

  1. Assist patients with scheduling appointments, checking in and out, and completing necessary paperwork.
  2. Perform vital signs and basic medical procedures under the direction of a healthcare provider.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment.
  4. Monitor and order medical supplies to ensure availability for patient care.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  6. Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical records system.
  7. Provide support to healthcare providers during procedures and exams.
  8. Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
  9. Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  10. Assist in patient education and provide resources as directed by healthcare providers.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective clinic operations.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
  14. Report any patient or equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
