
Public Safety Officer

- Ensure the safety and security of all individuals on campus, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct routine patrols of the campus and respond promptly to any reported incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter potential criminal activities and provide a sense of safety to the community.
- Enforce university policies and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all members of the campus community.
- Work closely with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activities or individuals on campus.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence when necessary.
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, including medical emergencies, accidents, or other incidents.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Attend regular training sessions and stay up-to-date on relevant safety and security procedures and protocols.
- Act as a role model and uphold the values of the university at all times.
- Collaborate with other university departments and personnel to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to campus safety.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all incidents, reports, and activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of campus facilities to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans and drills.
- Assist with special events and provide security services as needed.
- Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Must Be At Least 21 Years Of Age.
Possess A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record.
Completion Of A Certified Training Program In Law Enforcement Or Public Safety.
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Remain Calm And Handle Emergency Situations Effectively.
