We are currently seeking a Director of Equity and Title IX Coordinator to join our team and lead our efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus. As the Director of Equity and Title IX Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all members of our community are treated with respect and have equal access to opportunities and resources. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual who is dedicated to promoting social justice and creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.   1. Develop and implement strategic initiatives and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for all issues related to equity and Title IX compliance.
  3. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the campus climate and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and student organizations to create and facilitate educational programs and workshops on topics such as diversity, bias, and inclusion.
  5. Provide support and resources to students, faculty, and staff who have experienced discrimination or harassment.
  6. Oversee the Title IX complaint process, ensuring timely and fair resolution of all cases.
  7. Serve as a confidential resource for individuals seeking guidance on issues related to equity and Title IX.
  8. Stay current on all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to equity and Title IX.
  9. Train and supervise a team of staff members who assist with equity and Title IX responsibilities.
  10. Foster partnerships and collaborations with external organizations and community groups to promote diversity and social justice.
  11. Manage the budget for equity and Title IX initiatives and programs.
  12. Produce regular reports and presentations on campus diversity and equity efforts for university leadership and governing bodies.
  13. Serve as a member of university committees and task forces related to equity and inclusion.
  14. Represent the university at conferences and events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  15. Continuously evaluate and adapt equity and Title IX policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing laws and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role In The Field Of Equity And Title Ix Compliance.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Equity And Title Ix, Including Title Ix Of The Education Amendments Act Of 1972 And The Clery Act.

  • Strong Understanding Of Diversity, Inclusion, And Social Justice Issues And Their Application In An Educational Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations And Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.

  • Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Higher Education Administration, Law, Or Social Justice. A Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree Is Preferred.
