- Create and maintain course materials such as syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their coursework and performance.
- Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage critical thinking and application of counseling theories and models.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in the field of counseling to ensure course content is relevant and current.
- Maintain regular office hours and be available for student consultations and support.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency and coherence across courses within the counseling program.
- Grade assignments and assessments in a timely manner and provide clear and thorough feedback to students.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the field of counseling.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Comply with university policies and procedures, as well as maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of students by actively promoting the counseling program and engaging with prospective students.
- Actively engage in self-reflection and seek feedback from students and colleagues to continuously improve teaching methods and course content.
- Represent the university and the counseling program in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or university administration.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or A Related Field
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Teaching Or Counseling
In-Depth Knowledge Of Counseling Theories And Models
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Ability To Work Collaboratively And Adapt To A Variety Of Teaching Formats, Including Online And In-Person Instruction.
