  1. Develop and coordinate laboratory curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses in the science department.
  2. Manage and maintain laboratory facilities and equipment, ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met.
  3. Oversee the purchasing and budgeting for laboratory supplies and equipment.
  4. Train and mentor students in laboratory procedures and techniques.
  5. Collaborate with faculty to design and implement innovative teaching methods in the laboratory setting.
  6. Evaluate and assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  7. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  8. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in science and teaching methods.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  10. Serve as a resource for students, providing guidance and support for research projects and career development.
  11. Contribute to the recruitment and retention of students in the science department.
  12. Act as a liaison between the science department and other departments or organizations.
  13. Adhere to all university and departmental policies and procedures.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports related to laboratory activities and student progress.
  15. Represent the university and the science department at conferences, workshops, and other events.
  16. Continuously seek to improve laboratory procedures and techniques to enhance student learning.
  17. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and courses.
  18. Conduct research and publish scholarly articles related to laboratory management and science education.
  19. Actively participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives related to science education.
  20. Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Higher In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Physics.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A University Or Academic Environment.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures, Including Experience With Handling And Disposal Of Hazardous Materials.
