Job Description

Welcome to the Child and Family Research Center at the University of Nevada! We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Early Childhood Educator 1. This is a full-time position with both current and future openings available. As an Early Childhood Educator 1, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children and their families. We are looking for candidates who are committed to providing quality education, nurturing environments, and meaningful interactions for our students.   1. Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families entering the Child and Family Research Center.
  2. Deliver high-quality early childhood education to children, following established curriculum and best practices.
  3. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  4. Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  5. Foster positive relationships with children and their families to support their overall development.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and individualized plans.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate classroom activities and events.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.
  9. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines for early childhood education.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
  11. Ensure the physical safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.
  12. Model and promote positive behavior and attitudes for children and colleagues.
  13. Support the overall mission and goals of the Child and Family Research Center and the University of Nevada.
  14. Continuously strive to create an inclusive and diverse learning environment for all children and families.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Experience Working With Young Children In A Classroom Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Child Development Theories And Best Practices In Early Education.

  • Ability To Create And Implement Developmentally Appropriate Lesson Plans.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Collaborating With Families And Colleagues.
