- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for young children, taking into consideration their individual needs and abilities.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe and document children's progress and behaviors, and use this information to inform lesson planning and individualized support.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive and engaging learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing regular updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into daily teaching.
- Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive behaviors and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required by the center.
- Adhere to all center policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Continuously reflect on and evaluate teaching practices to improve the learning experience for children.
- Serve as a positive role model for children and colleagues.
- Support the overall mission and goals of the Child and Family Research Center and the University of Nevada.
Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Young Children In A Formal Educational Setting.
Knowledge Of Child Development Theories And Best Practices In Early Childhood Education.
Ability To Create And Implement Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum And Activities.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Families And Colleagues.
