  1. Lead and oversee the Speech Pathology and Audiology department, ensuring the program meets the highest standards of education and research.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the department's reputation and attract top talent.
  3. Collaborate with faculty members to develop and revise curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of students and the industry.
  4. Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, promoting diversity and cultural competency.
  5. Provide guidance and support to faculty members, fostering their professional development and promoting a culture of excellence.
  6. Foster relationships with industry partners and community organizations to enhance student learning opportunities and promote the program.
  7. Oversee the department's budget and allocate resources effectively to support the program's goals.
  8. Stay current with advancements in the field of speech pathology and audiology and incorporate new research and technologies into the program.
  9. Represent the department and the university at conferences, events, and other external engagements.
  10. Evaluate and assess the program's success and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement and excellence.
  11. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the department, including interviewing and selecting new faculty members.
  12. Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional development.
  13. Maintain and promote a culture of academic integrity and ethical conduct within the department.
  14. Collaborate with other university departments and committees to promote interdisciplinary approaches to education and research.
  15. Handle any administrative tasks related to the department, including scheduling, record-keeping, and managing departmental resources.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Or Audiology From An Accredited University.

  • Active Licensure As A Speech-Language Pathologist Or Audiologist In The State Of Nevada.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Field Of Speech-Language Pathology Or Audiology.

  • Previous Teaching Experience At The University Level In Speech-Language Pathology Or Audiology Courses.

  • Demonstrated Research Productivity And Expertise In One Or More Areas Of Speech-Language Pathology Or Audiology.
