Scientist - Physiology & Biophysics

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Scientist - Physiology & Biophysics to join the University of Mississippi Medical Center team. In this role, you will develop and conduct innovative research related to physiology and biophysics. You will leverage your expertise to help us further the knowledge of the physiological and biophysical components of biological systems.The ideal candidate for this position will have a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field with postdoctoral experience. You should also have a strong background in the design and implementation of experiments related to physiology, biophysics, and/or molecular biology. Responsibilities: • Design and implement experiments related to physiology, biophysics, and/or molecular biology • Analyze and interpret data from experiments • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research results • Work collaboratively with other scientists and research staff • Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students • Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals • Develop grant proposals and secure funding for research projects • Monitor and keep abreast of advances in the field of physiology and biophysics
