
Professional Counselor - Pediatrics
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is searching for a compassionate and dedicated Professional Counselor – Pediatrics to join our team. In this role, you will provide mental health counseling services to pediatric patients and their families. You will work collaboratively alongside a team of medical professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Mississippi. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience working with pediatric patients and families in a clinical setting is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health counseling services to pediatric patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with a team of medical professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a valid license or license-eligibility in the state of Mississippi.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques to meet individual patient needs.
- Develop treatment plans and monitor progress of clients.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in patient records.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and families.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the mental health field.
Master's Degree In Counseling
Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc) Certification
Experience With Pediatric Populations
