Physician Assistant - Cardiology

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and communication skills as well as a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. This position requires a degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and at least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in Cardiology. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilites:

1. Provide outstanding patient care in accordance with best practices and medical policies.

3. Perform physical exams and medical assessments on patients.

5. Develop and update patient care plans.
6. Monitor patient progress and document changes in medical records.
7. Assist with surgeries and/or medical procedures as needed.
8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
9. Remain current on advances in cardiology and medical technology.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
