
Patient Access Data Integrity Specialist
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Data Integrity Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patient access data is accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of patient access operations, revenue cycle management, and applicable healthcare laws. If you are looking to join a team dedicated to providing world-class healthcare, this position is for you!Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field• At least two years of experience in patient access operations, revenue cycle management, or related field• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills• Knowledge of applicable healthcare laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient access data by verifying it against source documents and correcting errors.
- Monitor patient access operations to identify potential issues or discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations and ensure compliance with them.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to patient access data integrity.
- Train staff on patient access data integrity processes and policies.
- Maintain detailed records of patient access data and analyze reports to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete patient access data.
- Liaise with IT staff to ensure that patient access systems are functioning properly and meeting data integrity standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
