Job Description

At the University of Mississippi Medical Center, we are proud to have an experienced and dedicated team of professionals committed to providing quality care to our patients and their families. We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Patient Access Data Integrity Specialist to join our team.The Patient Access Data Integrity Specialist will work in the admissions department to ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the patient access system. This position requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must also demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Patient Access field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. A Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent experience may be considered. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the patient access system.
  2. Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
  4. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other applicable regulations.
  5. Research and analyze data to identify errors and inconsistencies.
  6. Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to maintain data integrity.
  7. Assist with development of policies and procedures related to patient access data integrity.
  8. Train and mentor new team members on patient access data integrity standards.
  9. Create and maintain detailed reports and records of patient access data integrity activities.
  10. Monitor system performance and take corrective action when necessary.
