Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager to join our Labor & Delivery team at University of Mississippi Medical Center. In this critical role, you will provide leadership and oversight in managing the operations of the Labor & Delivery unit. To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced and dedicated nursing leader with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care and experience.The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field, and at least 5 years of clinical experience. The Nurse Manager should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as they will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures. Additionally, the Nurse Manager should have the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team, with the capability to lead by example and foster a positive work environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in the Labor & Delivery unit.
  2. Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Ensure the delivery of excellent patient care and experience.
  4. Foster a positive work environment.
  5. Ensure proper utilization of resources and personnel.
  6. Maintain a safe and secure environment.
  7. Monitor patient progress and provide guidance and support to the nursing team.
  8. Keep abreast of current trends and best practices in nursing care.
  9. Analyze data and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  10. Develop and oversee budget and staffing plans.

Job Qualifications
