Medical Laboratory Technician

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests and experiments to identify and analyze the information obtained from samples taken from patients. You should have a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and be able to work accurately and safely in a laboratory environment. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and takes pride in their work. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, and at least two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Additionally, you should have a thorough knowledge of laboratory instruments, techniques, and safety procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. Certification by a nationally recognized Medical Laboratory Technician agency is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in laboratory quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Maintain knowledge of current laboratory practices and procedures
• Adhere to applicable ethical and legal standards
