Instructor - Dental Hygiene

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Instructor of Dental Hygiene at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. We are looking for someone who is eager to share their knowledge and skills with our students and help them to become successful in the field.Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field, with a Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene preferred.• Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state of Mississippi.• At least three years of experience working as a dental hygienist.• Experience teaching or mentoring students in a dental hygiene program.• Demonstrated knowledge of current dental hygiene practices and techniques.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.• Excellent organizational and communication skills.• A commitment to excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions that are relevant to dental hygiene students.
2. Develop and implement curricula that meet the objectives of the program.
3. Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide feedback and support.
4. Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning.
5. Utilize current technology in teaching, including the use of online resources.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental hygiene practices and techniques.
7. Participate in dental hygiene program activities and committees.
8. Participate in professional development activities and conferences.
9. Assist with clinical supervision of students in the dental hygiene clinic.
10. Maintain professional relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
