Job Description

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable End User Computer Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end users in a fast-paced, high-energy medical environment. You will be essential in ensuring the successful day-to-day operations of the Medical Center's computer systems.We are looking for a passionate professional that is committed to providing exemplary customer service and technical support. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to think on their feet. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to end users in the Medical Center's computer systems.
  2. Troubleshoot computer-related issues and provide support to users in a timely manner.
  3. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
  4. Monitor system performance and security.
  5. Work with IT team to develop and implement policies and procedures for computer systems.
  6. Assist with data backups and system updates.
  7. Research and recommend hardware and software solutions to improve the Medical Center’s IT operations.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Provide training and support to users in the use of computer systems and other software applications.
  10. Maintain inventory of all computer equipment and software.
