Job Description

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced Electron Microscopy Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining state-of-the-art electron microscopy equipment while providing support to the research staff. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of electron microscopy techniques and a passion for helping others to discover new knowledge. To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least one year of experience working in an electron microscopy laboratory, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and maintain state-of-the-art electron microscopy equipment.
  2. Provide support to research staff in the use and application of electron microscopy techniques.

  5. Ensure the safety and security of electron microscopy equipment.
  6. Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
  7. Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with electron microscopy equipment.
  8. Keep up-to-date on technological advances in the field.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
  10. Generate reports and other documentation related to electron microscopy activities.
