
Diagnostic Sonographer - Ultrasound
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is looking for an experienced Diagnostic Sonographer-Ultrasound with a passion for providing quality patient care to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to providing excellent services to our patients. The ideal candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of ultrasound technology, good communication skills, and a strong patient-centered focus.The Diagnostic Sonographer-Ultrasound will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce images of the human body for diagnostic purposes. This role requires the ability to interpret physician orders, evaluate results, and provide patient education. The Diagnostic Sonographer-Ultrasound will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper patient preparation for ultrasounds.The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or have completed an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Candidates must also be certified in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and be registered in Ultrasound by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The successful candidate must also have a minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound technology and patient care. Additionally, this individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be computer proficient. Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images of the human body for diagnostic purposes.
- Interpret physician orders and evaluate results.
- Provide patient education regarding ultrasound exams.
- Maintain accurate records of patient ultrasounds.
- Prepare patients for ultrasounds.
- Possess a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or have completed an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Be certified in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and be registered in Ultrasound by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Possess a minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound technology and patient care.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be computer proficient.
