
Certified Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Certified Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine at University of Mississippi Medical Center to join our team. In this role, you will provide athletic training services to our student-athletes, as well as assess, evaluate, and provide care to prevent, recognize, manage, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries. You will also collaborate with physicians, parents, and coaches to ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, a current National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) certification, and a current Mississippi licensure. They should also have excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to providing quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assess, evaluate and provide care to prevent, recognize, manage, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries
- Collaborate with physicians, parents and coaches to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes
- Develop and implement injury prevention and recovery programs
- Provide direct and indirect patient care and follow-up
- Communicate with athletes and parents regarding injury prevention and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Maintain current knowledge of the latest techniques in sports medicine
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to sports medicine
- Monitor team compliance with safety protocols and best practices
- Develop and implement emergency action plans and provide emergency care when necessary
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field
Current National Athletic Trainers' Association Board Of Certification (Boc) Certification
Current Mississippi Licensure Or Eligible For Licensure
Current Cpr/Aed Certification
Experience In Athletic Training Or Related Field
Experience Working With Collegiate Or Professional Athletes
