Accountant - Accounts Receivable

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant - Accounts Receivable at University of Mississippi Medical Center. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your accounting knowledge and expertise to ensure the accuracy of all accounts receivable records, while providing excellent customer service.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience with accounts receivable is required, preferably in a healthcare setting. You must also have strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable for the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
2. Ensure all accounts are billed accurately and payments are received in a timely manner.
3. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding accounts receivable.
4. Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements, as needed.
5. Reconcile all accounts receivable accounts with general ledger.
6. Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable.
7. Work with other departments to ensure accuracy of billing and payments.
8. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounts receivable processes and regulations.
10. Follow all applicable laws and regulations related to accounts receivable.
