As an Elevator Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our elevators, which are essential for the daily functioning of our campus.   1. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on elevators to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with elevators and implement appropriate solutions.
  3. Conduct safety inspections and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on elevators.
  5. Communicate effectively with other members of the maintenance team and university staff regarding elevator issues.
  6. Collaborate with elevator manufacturers and vendors to order necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in elevator maintenance and repair.
  8. Respond promptly to any emergency calls related to elevators and take necessary actions to address the issue.
  9. Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and inspections with minimal disruption to campus operations.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations related to elevators.
  11. Train and supervise junior maintenance staff on elevator maintenance and safety procedures.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any safety hazards or concerns.
  13. Uphold a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with members of the university community.
  14. Assist with other maintenance tasks and projects as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Elevator Maintenance And Repair.

  • Knowledge Of Elevator Safety Regulations And Codes, Including Ansi A17.1 And Asme A17.2.

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Elevator Malfunctions And Perform Necessary Repairs.

  • Proficiency In The Use Of Hand And Power Tools, As Well As Specialized Equipment, For Elevator Maintenance.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact Professionally With University Staff And Students.
