  1. Assist lead educators in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.
  2. Work collaboratively with lead educators to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
  3. Provide direct support and guidance to students in the classroom.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes learning and growth.
  5. Conduct observations and assessments of students' progress and communicate with lead educators and parents about their development.
  6. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment for students.
  7. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective early childhood education program.
  8. Attend and actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  9. Model appropriate behavior and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  10. Adhere to all university and state regulations and policies related to early childhood education.
  11. Continuously strive to create an inclusive and equitable classroom environment for all students.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
  13. Support the overall mission and goals of the university and the early childhood education program.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The Candidate Should Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Qualification, Such As A Ged, To Be Considered For The Position.

  • Experience Working With Young Children: Previous Experience Working With Young Children, Either In A Formal Educational Setting Or Through Volunteer Work, Is Highly Desirable For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Early Childhood Education Principles: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Early Childhood Education Principles And Practices, Including Child Development, Curriculum Planning, And Behavior Management.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Teacher Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Communicate Effectively With Children, Parents, And Colleagues. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are A Must For This Role.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: The Candidate Should Hold Current Cpr And First Aid Certifications Or Be Willing To Obtain Them Prior To Starting Employment. These Certifications Are Essential For Ensuring The Safety And Well-Being Of The Children In The Classroom.
