  1. Provide academic support: The Athletics Academic Tutor will be responsible for providing academic support to student athletes by assisting with homework, studying for exams, and helping with any other academic needs.
  2. Develop individualized study plans: The tutor will work with each student athlete to develop personalized study plans that cater to their specific academic needs and help them achieve their academic goals.
  3. Monitor academic progress: It will be the tutor's responsibility to monitor the academic progress of the student athletes and provide regular updates to coaches and academic advisors.
  4. Foster a positive learning environment: The Athletics Academic Tutor will create a positive and conducive learning environment for student athletes by being patient, approachable, and supportive.
  5. Collaborate with coaches and academic advisors: The tutor will work closely with coaches and academic advisors to ensure that student athletes are meeting academic requirements and receiving necessary support.
  6. Maintain confidentiality: The tutor will respect the confidentiality of student athletes and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  7. Conduct study sessions: The tutor will organize and conduct group study sessions for student athletes to help them prepare for exams and complete assignments.
  8. Stay up-to-date with academic policies: The Athletics Academic Tutor will stay informed about academic policies and procedures to ensure that student athletes are meeting all academic requirements.
  9. Provide guidance and mentorship: The tutor will serve as a mentor and provide guidance to student athletes, helping them develop strong study habits and time management skills.
  10. Communicate effectively: The tutor will communicate regularly with student athletes, coaches, and academic advisors to provide updates on academic progress and address any concerns or challenges.
  11. Attend team meetings and events: The tutor may be required to attend team meetings and events to support student athletes and provide academic assistance when needed.
  12. Maintain records: The Athletics Academic Tutor will maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and academic progress for each student athlete.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Sports Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Experience In Tutoring Or Teaching In A Collegiate Or Professional Athletics Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Ncaa Academic Eligibility Requirements And Experience Working With Student-Athletes.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Diverse Group Of Student-Athletes.

  • Familiarity With Study Strategies And Time Management Techniques To Help Student-Athletes Balance Academic And Athletic Commitments.
