Welcome to the University of Louisville! We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Admissions Counselor. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping potential students navigate the application process and ultimately enroll at our university. We are seeking someone who is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and has a passion for higher education.   1. Provide excellent customer service to potential students and their families during the admissions process.
  2. Guide and assist students in navigating the university's application process.
  3. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for students and their families regarding admissions requirements, deadlines, and procedures.
  4. Conduct informational sessions and campus tours for prospective students.
  5. Review and evaluate student applications, transcripts, and other relevant materials.
  6. Collaborate with other university departments and staff to coordinate recruitment events and initiatives.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized records of student inquiries, applications, and admissions decisions.
  8. Stay up-to-date on university policies and procedures, as well as industry trends and best practices in college admissions.
  9. Build relationships with high schools and community organizations to increase awareness and interest in the university.
  10. Attend college fairs and other recruitment events to represent the university and promote its programs and opportunities.
  11. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the university's mission, values, and academic programs.
  12. Act as a positive ambassador for the university, promoting its culture and community to potential students.
  13. Assist with the onboarding and orientation process for new students.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the admissions process to ensure a positive and efficient experience for students and their families.
  15. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in regards to college admissions and student privacy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Education, Counseling, Or Psychology.

  • Previous Experience In Admissions Or Related Field, Preferably At A Higher Education Institution.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Prospective Students And Families.

  • Strong Knowledge Of University Of Louisville's Admissions Process, Academic Programs, And Campus Resources.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills.
