
Health Promotion Specialist - Healthy Relationships

- Develop and implement programs and events that promote healthy relationships among students, faculty, and staff at the University of Florida.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations to educate individuals on the importance of maintaining positive and healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments and organizations on campus to integrate healthy relationship messaging and initiatives into existing programs and events.
- Provide confidential one-on-one consultations for individuals seeking guidance on building and maintaining healthy relationships.
- Create and distribute educational materials, such as brochures and online resources, to promote healthy relationship practices.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and trends related to healthy relationships and incorporate this knowledge into program development and delivery.
- Work closely with campus mental health services to ensure individuals in unhealthy or abusive relationships receive appropriate support and resources.
- Serve as a resource and referral for individuals seeking assistance with relationship concerns.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives and make adjustments as needed.
- Actively participate in campus-wide health and wellness initiatives and events.
- Serve as a representative of the University of Florida and promote the importance of healthy relationships to external organizations and communities.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and outcomes to report to university administration.
- Facilitate training and development for student leaders and peer educators on healthy relationship topics.
- Collaborate with campus partners to provide programming specifically tailored to diverse populations and communities within the university.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the overall health and wellness culture at the University of Florida through ongoing research and assessment.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Education, Public Health, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Health Promotion Or Community Health Education.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Strategies For Promoting Healthy Relationships And Preventing Intimate Partner Violence.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders.
Experience In Program Planning, Implementation, And Evaluation In A University Setting.
