Job Description

The University of Florida is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Construction Project Manager II. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects on our campus. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with a diverse team.   1. Oversee all aspects of construction projects on the University of Florida campus, from planning to execution.
  2. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
  4. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  6. Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and making adjustments when necessary.
  7. Communicate with university stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
  8. Facilitate meetings and coordinate with various parties involved in the project.
  9. Review and approve project plans, specifications, and contracts.
  10. Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and project adherence to plans and specifications.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
  12. Mentor and train junior project managers and other team members.
  13. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in construction management.
  15. Ensure that all projects are completed with the highest level of quality and in accordance with the university's standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Project Management Within The Construction Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Construction Processes, Building Codes, And Project Scheduling.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Supervise A Team.

  • Knowledge Of Budgeting And Cost Control Techniques, With Experience In Managing Project Budgets Of At Least $5 Million.
